Red Clay Gospel is a place for modern psalms and ordinary altars.
I am Boutwell Jones. I write from the red clay of Southwest Georgia, from the Flint River basin, and from the Texas Hill Country where I live now. These are stories and reflections for the days that do not feel holy while you are living them. The commute. The waiting room. The kitchen sink. I believe grace tends to show up in the small and the unremarkable, and I write to notice it out loud.
The work is gathered in a series called The Holy Ordinary. Two volumes are out now, with more on the way.
